For those that don't know, the AEM Bypass basically eliminates the chance of hydrolock on your engine should your Cold Air Intake (CAI)become submerged in water.
I actually used an AEM Bypass Valve on my Injen CAI for an 06 Scion tC. Install was fairly straight forward possible, it fit right where the hose clamp connecting the Cold Air portion to the Short Ram portion. It does alter the sound of the intake slightly, but I did not notice any decrease in performance. Best of all, you have that extra sense of security in your lowered car should you need to get across a large puddle! |
