| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION APS Equal Length Split Pulse Headers
Header design is a very precise and complex process that demands the highest levels of engineering and a thorough understanding of the STI engine if the optimum header is desired.
APS has designed and manufactured what is arguably the ultimate STI header system on the planet. Designed specifically for high powered STI engines, the APS Equal Length Split Pulse Header system delivers an outstanding improvement in power and torque, particularly in the mid RPM range.
By dissipating the hot exhaust gasses more efficiently, the APS High Energy Header System lowers the thermal load on vital engine components such as pistons, combustion chambers, valves etc., particularly at high horsepower levels.
Careful attention to detail in key areas is critical in order to deliver the highest possible performance and maximum component durability. From smooth flowing Y couplings through to external precision TIG welds where tubes meet flanges, APS' high attention to detail ensures the optimum results and powerful operation.
All flanges are internally and externally precision TIG welded to ensure smooth flow and the highest possible component durability.
For extreme horsepower applications where individual EGT sensors are required APS now supplies the APS Equal Length Split Pulse Headers with threaded sensor bosses right up near the manifold flange - One sensor for each exhaust port - for perfect performance.
Smooth flowing Y couplings result in smooth flowing exhaust gasses and the maximum performance possible.
The stock plastic splash/aero tray is retained to deliver uncompromised protection and under-hood air flow dynamics
The comprehensive APS High Energy Header system includes all mounting hardware and header to up-pipe gasket (may require head to header flange gaskets and/or up-pipe to turbocharger gasket if stock gaskets not servicable) for easy installation.
APS recommends that the APS High Energy header system is wrapped with robust heat shielding in order to minimize exhaust heat loss and heat transfer to the engine bay.
