| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The PLX 2-Axis G Sensor gives the R-500/M-500 the added capability of data logging your vehicle's forward acceleration, braking deceleration and cornering road holding grip. Any changes to your vehicle's engine power, brakes, tire compound, alignment can be detected with the PLX G Sensor and data logged for analysis. The PLX 2-Axis G Sensor is capable of measuring acceleration on 2 dimensional axis. The G Sensor contains 2 analog output signals which correspond directly proportionally to your acceleration in Gs. 1g is equal to 9.8m/s^2 or ~32 ft/s^2. This is the same acceleration an object experiences towards the Earth's center at sea level. CLICK TO ENLARGE *A 5Amp fuse connected in series with the +12V power wire for the G Sensor is recommended for safety Output Response vs. Orientation How do you use it? -
Mount and secure the G Sensor to your vehicle in the following orientation. With the supplied double stick tape. -
Connect a 12V power source to the G Sensor. The G sensor and the wideband controller must share the same ground (black wire). -
Connect the analog 5V output signals, green wire for X-Axis, blue wire for Y-Axis, to any of the 4 available analog inputs on the R-500/M-500. -
Setup the Analog Inputs in the PLX Logger Software by selecting "PLX G Sensor" from the pull down menu. -
Place your vehicle on level ground and start up PLX Logger Software. Your X-Axis, and Y-Axis G Sensor gauge should read 0.0g. If not, adjust and reposition the sensor accordingly. Key Features: -
