The Zero/Sports WRC Pulley is a direct replacement for the WRX/STi crankshaft pulley. The factory pulley weighs in at a heavy 5.4 pounds and is a perfect place to shed some weight. Removing weight from a moving part of the engine is even more critical than removing dead weight from any other part of a car. Removing the weight from the pulley allows the engine to move faster with less effort, allowing for faster revving response and the production of more horsepower and torque.The Zero/Sports pulley, made of lightweight aluminum, weighs in at a very light 1.4 pounds. The pulley will remove a full four pounds of weight from your engine, which adds up to a big difference!

I had this product on my 2002 WRX. I ended up removing it. Not because it was a bad product, believe me for some great change in throttle response for a great deal, this is the way to go. However that being said, the Subarus don't like to have a lightened crank pulley AND a lightened flywheel. Having both a lightened flywheel and lightened crank pulley causes something in the engine to go out of balance and will throw a check engine light at you. If you don't plan on getting a lightened flywheel any time soon, buy this! If you plan on doing your clutch soon, save your cash and spend it on a lightened flywheel, bigger gains!
